|
|
Hi,
My boss has assured me that the visa issuance office in Fukuoaka is in the ferry terminal in Fukuoaka and that it is open on the weekends. This sounds wrong. Can anyone just advice. Also if this is rubbish as I suspect, I have my visa issuance number so if I hand it in on Monday morning can I expect my visa in the afternoon or the next day?
Thanks

Your boss is wrong. The visa office is not in the ferry terminal and it is not open on weekends. Tell him to call any embassy on Saturday or Sunday and see if they're open. If you hand it in Monday morning, you'll be able to pick up on Tuesday morning.
Check the sticky in the travel forum for more info (location, etc).

Your boss has no idea what he's talking about.
Go to the travel forums and you'll see one of the stickies is "visa runs to Fukuoka". All the info you'll need is there.
You have to put in your application for your visa one day (before 1pm), then pick it up the next day (after 1pm). |

Is it possible that your boss was thinking the Japanese visa issuance? As in, you get your passport stamped with your "30 day tourist visa upon arrival" for Japan inside the ferry office? |
