I dont think that theres any Indian embassy or consulate in Korea. Would I have to fly to Singapore to pick it up there? What do I do? |

well how about that! Next time I might just check the hinternet instead of making bold assertions like the afformentioned one about there being no such Indian embassy. |

Was gonna say would have been a cold day in hell if an Indian Embassy didn't exist in Korea. |

Mate its really easy. Get of at hanam station and walk there, there is a map on their website. Just roll in there in the morning with your completed forms, the cash, pics and your passport. They will give u a deposit slip that u have to take to the bank down the road to pay for the visa. Then u go back to the embassy, have a mini interview about when u will go and why u will go there then give the forms to the reception. One week later u can go and pick it up. But, here is the kicker, you can only pick it up between 4 and 5 pm. But u can send someone else to get it. Why are you going to India, did Braces give u a call up now Bond has had to pull up again?? |

Well Chest unless I was lucky enough to win the milo 12th man comp I would not return to India, I didn't like anything there except the Taj Mahal, that is one nice building but the rest of it....nah. Granted I was only there for a limited time and just went to places in Rajasthan, Delhi and Agra but that was enough. The south and the beaches could be nice though and I heard the north up in the mountains is nice too but, there again, I heard that Rajasthan was nice as well. It depend how much you like filth, cow shit and poverty. |

I just got my Indian visa.
The embassy in Seoul is easy to find, it's across from UN Village.
It takes a week to get a tourist visa. Go to apply between 9:30 and 12:30. You have to do a short interview. You also have to deposit your visa fee (115K for US passport holders) in Korea Exchange Bank down the street and bring the receipt back to give them all your paperwork. You need two passport photos. They give you a receipt with the pickup date on it, and you go back on that day or after between 4 and 5pm. It's the height of inefficiency, but it wasn't too painful for me. |

The embassy told me without question and under no circumstances could a foreign national get a tourist visa for India without going there in person. Are you Korean or did they lie? |

Sure a travel agent can get them for you but they will add on their fee. The travel agent told me 120,000 won but if you do it your self just 80,000 won for most passports that is, US is more. |

Yes, US is 115,000 as I said. But the two travel agents I contacted said they couldn't get me an Indian visa and the embassy itself was very clear that there was no way I could get out of going in person, and I asked several times because I had to take a sick day to do it. So they were lying, then? |
