I think I asked about this before. I am interested in a kind of large toaster oven or some kind of portable oven that could fit a turkey. I would also like to make other dishes in it. My place does not have an oven, and I do not plan on taking out cabinets to install one. I saw a large sized oven that looked like either a convection oven or a large toaster oven. I saw it at E-Mart. It had a place where you could make pancakes on top. It costs 89,000 won. What are the options out there?
I don't get why so many people live in apartments without ovens. Is it simply much cheaper to not install one by the owners of the apartments?

Assuming you mean why Koreans don't live in apartments without ovens, that's probably because Korean food doesn't involve much baking. They go to bakeries to get their crappy sweet garlic bread and red bean paste stuffed buns. They boil their crappy kimchi jjigae and ramyeon on the stovetop and nuke the odd crappy leftover in the microwave. Why would they need an oven?

I know which one you mean. I was going to buy that one, but someone convinced me to buy the other small oven there (W155,000) they had there (a black/silver one, brand begins with 'K') because it is convection and seemed to come with more racks and pans.

The one you are talking about has a rotisserie thingie but is not convection so you cannot be sure of even heat distribution when cooking.

These days the new apartment complexes are building in kimchi fridges and ovens into the kitchens.

I got the 155K one recently as well (wife said extra racks and pans) and then made the mistake of checking its online price.. felt like Evil or Very Mad duh!

But its good and I seem to have figured out what the buttons do beside make the *beep* sound.
