couldnt find this info on the other forums....
i was only given a "notice of appt" and told to take that with me to fukuoka...and that all i would need is my passport, visa fee, and application for visa......is that correct?
and...i dont arrive in fukuoka till 11am...so i may not get to the consulate until after lunch...will i still be able to get my visa the next day? |

Winnie: you will need two photos and a copy of your contract also.
I recently arrived at the consulate at 2 pm and was able to pick up the visa at 10 the following morning (Sept 27).

| i dont have a signed copy of my contract...just one they emailed to me...for me to sign...i signed it and gave it to the recruiter, but didnt get it back..he says i dont need it for the visa |

I've been on two visa runs and never needed a copy of my contract. Just the photos (they have a photo booth at the embassy (Osaka for sure, not positive about Fukuoka though) for Y500) and your visa issuance number.

Don't count on it though. I wasn't able to get to the embassy in Osaka until after lunch and they very reluctantly gave me back my passport at the end of the morning shift. If you arrive at 11 am you definitely won't make it there before lunch. Assume that you won't get it before the afternoon shift, just to be sure.
