Can anyone tell me what most teachers out there do re general insurance i.e. possessions etc. I realise that the national health scheme covers you on the health side. Although presumably you could opt out and just go for an overall policy. After a search looks like 'nomad' is reccommended by a couple of people??

I'm alos interested in what people have to say about this. I lived in Poland for several months with no insurance, but was travelling light. Now I'm going to Korea (with a laptop, and other nice electronic things) I'm wondering if insurance is a good idea. Has anybody reading this taken out insurance of any sort for their stay in Korea?

STA Travel quoted me about 440 for fully comp travel insurance. It is probably a lot cheaper online. Any suggestions anyone? Is it a good idea?
