If you're talking about the one in Noen Dong in Daejeon, don't take it. Two of my friends just quit last week. One did a runner, the other gave her notice two months ago and just got out on Friday. The main problem is that the hours are super long. I know they also had a lot of problems with the director, not really sure about what tho, so I can't really say. So, unless you want to work 10 hours a day, then I would steer clear of this one.

Never work for a Poly, anywhere. I really don't see how they still manage to get teachers considering I've never heard anything good about them. The basic complaint is the insanely long hours and their BS claim that they only want the best, qualified teachers. Any certified teacher worth his or her salt would never work for one. A lot of their supposed "returnee" kids spent a few months in Koreatown USA and know about as much English as the average Korean hagwon owner. The books are often way above the students' heads.
Stay away from Poly.  |
