I have 27 (x 1.8 litre) bottles of soju (un-opened) to give away for free to anyone who wants it... (new-costs 90,000 won)

yes.. thats 27 bottles (1.8 litre each) of 'jinro' soju (plastic bottles) to give away - to anybody who comes and collects them from my apartment...

(I live next to Jamsil station)....

I am trying to give up drinking soju - so I want them out of my house...

if no-one collects them - I will pour them down the sink in 1-2 weeks....

(send me a pm with your phone number and a convenient time to phone you if you are genuinely interested).....

Good for you! Really! Smile That couldn't have been healthy. I don't know if you will get one taker, but you can probably get rid of them easy. I was going to suggest giving them to your boss, but then he would probably make you drink with him Smile

Jeezzuz, PM him your number, don't post it here! Shocked

I've always been amazed to the point of incredulity about Yesterday's soju consumption. I make no apologies about how much of a drinker I am, but thinking about how much he puts away made me feel ill and concerned. Well, concerned in a cyberspace, don't-even-know-the-guy sort of way.

If I lived closer to you, I'd pop around and take a couple bottles off your hands, Yesterday. (and them's right BIG bottles, too. probably last me a year, I so rarely have soju at home.)

Good to hear.

Its ok - I was about to phone kimchicraig - but if you both want to take half - come and take it..... - but pm me your number JongnoGuru ....

as for being concerned... thanks.... but no need to be concerned any longer... as I said - as of 3 days ago - I gave up consuming soju (due to a long lecture by my doctor)... I was told to ONLY consume 2 glasses of red wine per day (maximum) or 2 cans of beer per day (maximum) - and although its hard - I am doing it... no more excessive soju drinking for me....

Ok - its gone - 2 (unknow - daves-esl-members) came and collected it - so its all gone...

just be careful - my doctor warned me about the dangers of soju -

1. its all carbohyrates - (so you should be someone who used lots of energy each day - if you drink it)

2. its consists of 5% methanol - something that apparently is very bad for your body....

3. its bad....

It's amazing how those delivery trucks leave their crates of beer and soju open and unattended, eh? Wink

Yes. But I think we should always point out the SIZE of those 27 bottles. They're not those green little ones we get at the restaurants, these are as big as spring water bottles. And they're plastic (right?). While I've had it often enough, I've never been a big devotee of soju. And when I see it on the shop shelves in that voluminous container, I feel a bit queasy. The sight of the smaller, regular-sized, green glass bottles has no visceral effect on me, however.
