My life sucked. Anyone else pretty glad to be where they are today?

C'mon. Be happy.

10 years ago I began my "teaching abroad adventure" by coming to Korea. Planned to stay just one year! I'm still here after a couple of side trips to the Czech Republic. Every time I come back to Korea, I feel like I'm coming home!

Ok, former whatever, but were you happy then? Are you happy now, or at least more content?

was living in Vancouver and only six more months left until I left Canada for Korea. I was content, not satisfied, not happy - just content with where I was.

10 years ago was my first year at University....one of the best years of my life.

But, in saying that, its definitely a different kind of happiness. My contentment right now is less superficial, less reliant on alcohol, less dependent on men and more about accepting my blessings and weaknesses.

Being happy alone AND being happy with others.

Just my 2 won..... Laughing

10 years ago I was a sophomore in high school. I'm much happier now, yes, but that is de facto since I no longer live with my parents. Every day since the day I moved out has been the best day of my life.

DJing in Greece - Santorini, new girl every day, the cool azure waters of the Med, sun on my back, enough money for beers, food and board. Sometimes I would like to go back, but there is a time and a place for everything. For the most part, I am happy here.

I thought my comment about being a band geek would be sufficient to let you know that I'm happier now. And it's formerflautist, as in when I was a band geek I played the flute.

10 years ago I had just come to Seoul from Kangwon-do and my girlfriend in Canada had just broken up with me because she was pissed that I wasn't going back to Canada so I was a free and happy man in the dating arena on the Han.

It was great then and it's great now and it's hard to pick between the two.
