|
|
I have a question related to visas. Recently, I did a midnight run, leaving without telling a soul. (Please save me a lecture...I'm aware of what bad business practice this is....trust me, it was an emergency.)
The question I have is...will this prevent me from finding jobs in other places like Japan or Taiwan if my 1 year Korean visa doesn't officially expire until 01/07? Will I be able to have another job in, say, Taipei before 01/07 or do I have to wait until this one expires? I'm curious to hear the other experiences of people who have done midnight runs and then applied for and landed other jobs.
Thanks! |

You are in luck. Your visa only applies to South Korea. You are free to seek employment in any other country at any time. |

Yes. Seeing as how they are different countries, you won't have any problems finding employment in China or Taiwan.
However your new employers may be interested to find out that you skipped out on your last contract ... |

The only problem I can think of is that your potential employer might ask why you did the midnight run. I would think of an answer to that question. |

And who will be your reference as it can't be your last job.
