I know that back home, the HPV vaccine just became (or is about to) become available. It's marketed towards women mostly, as a cervical cancer vaccine. (Something crazy like 80% of the cases of cervical cancer in the US are caused by HPV.)

Anyone know anything about that? Is it available here, too? Or will I need to spring for a $1500 plane ticket if I wanna get it? I somehow doubt that most vaccines would survive a 12-hour plane ride plus God knows how many hours in a bus/post office/etc.

And nobody answered my last question about NaNoWriMo. Any participants?

I failed my NaNoWriMo last year ... had planned to try again this year, but I've been busy moving here and looking for a job. Maybe next year. Or maybe I will actually be good and get something big done this year.
