|
|
I'm applying to grad schools, and I'm wondering whether I should list Yonsei as a previous school. I did graduate from the program, but in the end it was at the Korean Language Institute, not the actual university. I also got certification as a Korean language instructor from there, similar to a TESOL certificate.
Is this something I should (have to) include? I'd rather not, because then I have to get transcripts sent to many places, but at the same time I mention the coursework in my statement of purpose. |

Why should being able to speak and teach Korea's language be something to not place on a C.V.?
I'd let prospective employers know about it for sure, eh. You could help them out with, what, 70,000,000 others who could converse with you in the language.
Go for it, ya' pervert! |

A grad school is not a hakwon in Korea.
I am unsure whether the KLI qualifies as a "university" or is the equivalent of an institute like "Pagoda." |

| Some American universities will give transfer credit for study at Yonsei KLI and similar institutes. I doubt it can hurt. |
