Last time I was looking for an apartment in Seoul, there was the housing forum on English Spectrum, there was Seoul Classified magazine, there were three or four realtor's sites in English, but now it seems to have all gone to hell, and I've only been gone a year! There aren't many housing topics on Dave's or Craig's List Seoul, and the only realtor site I could find was Eden.

Where are people going nowadays for rental listings?

sounds like you're not a newbie, so i hope you don't find this too condescending...

go to naver.com and search for 부동산. realty office.

there was one exclusively in english that specialized in places in itaewon, haebongchon and hannamdong, but i don't recall what it was. it was posted on another site that one was not allowed to mention.

just go to whatever area you want to live in, look for the 부동산 offices and start gesticulating.

I can't type in Korean on my keyboard and I'm not in Korea yet. I was hoping to get some info before I came, make appts. to see different places, then just go see the places in person when I arrive, thereby minimizing the number of days I'll have to waste money on a motel. Even at 30k/night, it'll still add up, and I don't want to stay in a yogwan.

When I get back to Seoul, I guess I can call 1330 and ask them (that number still works, right?), but I was hoping to get started on the the process here.
