| Hi, I posted this in another thread, but I'd like to get an answer. Do I have to rent goshiwon by the month? I may be in Gyeonggi for a few weeks, and goshiwon are obviously a lot cheaper than motels. Can I arrange a weekly rate? I'm thinking, if not, I can just pay by the month and only stay for 3 weeks or so, b/c even that'd still be a reasonable price. Thanks. |

| my experience with goshiwons is limited to a single establishment. however, i know that that establishment allows people to pay by the day or by the month (10,000 won for a day; 210,000/220,000 for the month). |

In Itaewon they certainly rent by the day/week. Others, it really depends on how their business is these days.
Just like every other business here, they're a dime a dozen, so I suggest going to the area where you wish to stay and asking. At least one will say yes. |
