Last night I turned on the lights and saw three mosquitos all huddled together on the same patch of the wall. My cats chase after them so usually I know approximately where they are.

I don't know about up there but down here on the south coast there are mosquitoes from February to November but the beginning and end of the year they are slow and easy to get rid of, except when trying to sleep!

And I suspect they were coming in through the light fixtures in the ceiling. Otherwise I have no idea.

I bought a mosquito net for my bed but there aren't anywhere as many mosquitoes here on the mainland than when I was on Geoje Island, perhaps because where I am now is farming country and there is intensive spraying.

*raises hand*

I don't know how they do it. I use (diluted) bleach to clean my apartment, so any eggs they would have laid before the last cleaning should have died, right? But last night I was woken up by a mosquito buzzing in my ear at 2 am.

If your building was constructed like 80% of the buildings in this country, there are more places to get in than the U.S./Mexican border.

Plenty unfortunatly.
As for wiping down the apartment- Mogi's require water to spawn- so there probebly not coming from inside your apartment but creeping in through your doors and windows. (Some of them seem to have a PhD in Screen window/door penetration)

Wow, you too, man? Deja vu! Have the same problem only these past two weeks but, the last two days there haven't been any. I suspect they get in either through the open sewer bathroom drain(?) or through the range hood vent or around the edges of the screen windows. Been closing the windows these past couple of days and haven't seen any, though!

Bugs are hired and employed by hagwon directors.

They are specially bread to only feed on waygook blood.

I have found mosquitoes in my house in December. Bug spray and a bug zapper is my solution.

I've only had a few mosquitos in my apartment. Probably because I never open my window or prop my door open.

Had one sucker get in a few weeks ago, though, and I woke up with an egg-shaped lump on my forehead. It was massive. I walked into the bathroom and smashed the assailant into the window. The blood spot was grotesquely vast.

There seems to have more mosquitos over the past few weeks than at the height of summer. Surely they should be dead by now. Tough little bastrads, I'll say that much for them. In Thailand, turning on the air-con virtually guarantees a good nights sleep. That certainly doesn't work here.

Does anyone know where to get those electrocution grid boxes with the blue light? I've been looking around, but I can't find them anywhere.

I have holes in my screen but the number of mosquitos is immense--if I patch my screen, will they really not get in? Or, are they coming through the bathroom and laundry room drains, where they might be breeding in water?

BTW, congratulations to kotakji for choosing the best ever screen name. I wish I had come up with that. I look forward to when you get an avatar, I hope it will be a close-up photo of a big, slimy green booger!
