Hi folks. just wondering if anybody out there in the ether has ever been able to land themselves a six-month contract. that is, after being in the country for a year. is it possible? do such things exist? if so, where? and who? and why? and how? and did? and are? and so on and so on. the wife and i want to stay a few months more than our current contract b/c we fear returning to the frigid, barren cold of canada. and plus, we like the country....so far.
any help would be great |

I know of someone working on a six-month contract. He doesn't get any benefits, which is the whole point of it. You could probably swing it if you're not on an E-2 visa. However, I believe you can extend your contract at your current place of employment for less than a year (I know someone who did at my company). |
