For those of you that stay for more than a year........do you guys keep all your lesson plans and use them for future use the following year(maybe making slight adjustments to them if need be) or do you guys discard them once finished and come up with new ones every year?

Depends on whether you are teaching from the same textbooks the following year. If so - yes. If no - trash 'em. However, you can keep flashcards and worksheets that you've made for future recycling.

I keep everything, even if I probably won't be using it because you just never know. Besides a word document doesn't take up much space on my computer. It's just a good idea to keep everything including handouts, audio, and video files you may have made for your students.

I log about half of my lesson plans in a notebook, but I only use them to make my next lesson plans. I save all the picture files use to make laminated flashcards as well as all of the worksheets and tests I make.

Each class is special (for lack of a better word) and reusing a lesson plan down the road just wouldn't apply for me.

problem is - no hagwon keeps the same policy - even if it's within the same franchise - so even though good ideas remain throughout - sometimes it's just better to start from scratch.
