I went to see Sasha play at the Walker Hill on Saturday, I have to say that it was the best DJ performance I've seen in years. The digital platform he uses (Ableton Live) allows him to do some pretty unique and innovative things.

That aside, there was also the largest collection of hotties I've ever seen at a show in Seoul. That makes for a big bonus.

A+ night, all the way. Of course, it helps that he's my favorite DJ in the world.

Anyone else go? What are your thoughts?

I went and completely agree with you... People who say laptop DJs are "boring" or whatever aren't there for the sound, but the spectacle*. Yet it was a spectacular night, and I felt the spectacle was definitely still there... Not only do I think the sound was perfect, it was one of the better sets I've heard in the last couple of years. The other DJs were incredible (especially Kevin Shiu, he did a very good job, local Vancouver talent, finally getting known and touring the world as he should be).

The venue was good, drinks not overly priced at all... yet it was a posh event! A very good vibe there, a feeling of good energy (lack of army guys perhaps?), no fights or anything. Just pure class! Not too crowded, but tons of people...

And another thing I noticed... I've never seen so many beautiful women under one roof. Anytime there's a party there, I'm there, even at 44,000 per entry..

10/10

*As a side note: I've started using Ableton live with my production and mixing and have to say this program is paving the way for the future of electronic music. Turntablism is still a great thing though, but let's be honest, if you want to see that then see Mat the Alien spin and scratch on Nov. 11 in Hongdae, totally a whole different sound he goes for. If you want pure, 24 bit, perfect sound, see Sasha. So, if you want to see an artist scratching and doing amazing feats, see Mat! November 11th, check it out on 02pro! Oh, and if anyone knows what Mat looks like, it's funny the event is on Pepero day!! haha..

sad I missed it..
ive been going to the 02 pro partys since 2000 and I have found especially in the last 1 year or 2 the turn out for hotties has been pretty good..
guess a new breed of girls are coming out of highschool and into the scene , they seem better looking and more stylish than the last 4-5 years which was all hiphip clothes and casual..

damn still havrnt seen sasha!! everytime he comes I am busy!!!
ill get there..

Thanks again, Itaewonguy. I took your advice and checked out Cargo the other day. Had a blast...
