Who has left early (after giving notice, etc...)... Does employer go with you? or just give you a letter of release... Where do you get the letter format (with all the correct info).....

Any useful help about the whole procedure is appreciated....NO STUPID IRRELEVANT CRAP PLEASE!!

Thanks

Just been through this experience, so i feel pretty qualified to inform you. Your boss will need to go with you to immi, he will fill out the necessary paperwork and then will be made to write a letter of release. If you are no longer working for him and the school then he must do this. He can't keep your visa if you are no longer employed by the school. Others may tell you that i'm writing crap but this info is based on my my experience and hnece aquired knowledge.

If he refuses then go to immi (translated most likely required) and explain your situation. My experience is based at the immi in Jeju, when the ex boss (feels great to write that) told immi he did not do this they explained that he was wrong. Hence he was made to complete the necessary paperwork, which he did not like doing at all. Nope, he wanted me out of Korea and could not understand...why this should not have been the case. You then get 15 days to leave, in my case i came back in on a E7 visa (gov. job) after a visa run to Osaka.

On a seperate note he owed me a million Won, after a visit to the good old Labour Board and him telling me that i owed him money he paid me. The point to all of this is that your boss will try to keep you in the dark about what is true and what is not. I would strees the importence of a translator unless of course you can speak fluent Korean. On both occassions i had and needless to say it was a walk in the park. if i would not have had a translator i would probably be back at eating fish and chips, teaching kids from dissaffected backgrounds. At least that is what i think they call it these days in the good old British ed. system.

Good luck and don't head for the exit door like so many do.

Peace brothers and sisters. For those of you who say this is complete bull, well i must be schizo or delusional.........but me think not....Fight the good fight....remember, to be no evil then the good in this world must stand up and be counted....something like that.
