After you shag 20,000 groupies over a span of 40 odd years, you'll look old too!

What about Davis Lee Roth?

1980"s

2006's

I saw him recently on Leno doing "Jump" and let me tell you, he wasn't jumping. In jeans and a button shirt, he looked like Jimmy Buffet. But he was happy, and that's all that matters.

David Lee Roth isn't looking that bad, 20 years on. A quick Google Images search shows the last 20 years haven't been so kind to other heroes of our past.

They all start looking like Roger Whittaker.

Peter Gabriel, 1986 -> 2005

Billy Joel, 1986 ->2006

Saddam Hussein, 1986->2003

What is it with the little white goatees on Peter and Billy? These guys are starting to all look like Colonel Sanders.

Plant has looked overly-wrinkly for at least a decade, if I recall.

The vast majority of people take a huge nose-dive between 50 and 60. It kind of seems to hit you all at once - and of course it's more severe if you've smoked (which everyone did in the 70s), drank and more besides and led a life as crazy as Led Zepp's was in their prime. Mind you, I wasn't aware Plant was an especially bad rocker for this. Correct me if I'm wrong because I'm not a Led Zepp scholar.

It seems to me, I remember an interview he and Page did a few years ago where Page said that Plant was too devoted to er, em... snapper...too let him indulge in other vices at the level of the other members of Zeppelin.

Bad Example. I think Roth looks pretty good still. He's gained some weight. His hair is a bit messy in this photo, but aside from that, not bad.

Speaking about Led Zeppelin, Page preserved himself well. Has a baby face. If he just worked off that spare tire he's acquired, he'd loook 10 years younger than his actual age.
