I have a 3150 laptop model, and it will be coming to Korea with me. I've read the topics about voltage conversion, but I am still confused. I am too scared to ruin it. The brick says 110-240v, so I guess it is a duel voltage? So, I have a transformer and adapter plugs. Do I just use the adapter plug? I read a post that someone with the same voltage as me had a problem (but I think it was with her battery, and not necessarily a voltage problem).

Also, so I need some sort of adapter piece for the telephone cord for the internet that plugs into my computer?

Also, does anyone know if there are Adaptec stores anywhere in Seoul, and if computer supply stores are expensive in general?

Thanks!

Just use the adapter plugs. Your power supply, the brick, is universal, so, no worries there. As for the "telephone cord" for the internet...Do you by chance mean, the network cable? Those are the same here, don't worry about it.

The only repair facility for Averatec computers is in California. And they charge a shitload of money. However, as I discovered, there is also a possibility that the technician will forget to file paperwork and you will wind up paying only shipping.

Really? I bought my Averatec here in Korea (pile of crap) at one of those TG:Trigem stores dotted all over the place. When I had a problem they sent a guy around to pick it up and returned it the next day (this was under the warranty) Check your worldwide warranty Molly just in case.

Hmm. I wrote to them last summer and they told me Cali or nothing. Oh well.
