Why, it's Bill Clinton's fault of course.....

The system of checks and balances is not working properly. That is why it is imperative to vote for the other party rather than one currently in power. The administration was not adequately investigated regarding the wire-taps without judicial authorization, including discredited intelligence in the state-of-the-union speech, claiming to support diplomacy and war being a last resort while forcing U.N. inspectors to leave early, and, last but not least, the appointing of a crony of Bush as head of FEMA, though the person had precious little experience in the domain of aiding Americans who may face a natural disaster.
We have the bi-cameral legislature simply shielding the president from adequate scrutiny. It is interesting that in one of these chambers President Clinton was impeached for lying about an affair. When a member of the opposing party sent homosexual messages to young congressional pages, Speaker Hastert covered it up.
I mentioned all the above because Tillman was not only thinking of the conflicts in which America is engaged. His brother fought for an America which was founded on the ideas of liberty and justice for all; an America where people fought for true representation. |

| Clint Eastwood's new movie "Flags of Our Fathers" is partly about the manipulation of images of heroes. Reviews are very good. Just as interesting, he made a second movie at the same time, telling the same story from the Japanese perspective that will be out in February, "Letters From Iwo Jima". |
