*Battle Battle*

Anyone else watching this? The name's a bit gay but the breaking is massive. The concept is two opposing groups of breakdancers on opposite ends of a dance floor each trying to outdo each other.

A japanese team were on last night and totally went off, just mad mad skills, contorting their bodies and throwing themselves round in mind boggling ways.

I had the dolphin, the robot and could hold my line in the chain back when i was a bit more limber but these guys show how it should be done.

The korean team came 2nd. Nice work.

I saw this match between the French and Koreans. I didn't realize the French were named Pokemon, so at the time I thought it was some slang word the MC liked to use. "Move back, Pokemon!"

Individually I thought the Koreans had some amazing moves. I am not sure how much value is placed upon teamwork and synchronization but the French went into that more often, and more elaborately.

Started before 82, actually...82 is the year it pretty much died. Naw, it's just a fad...isn't even a popular one. You'll see...it will die out. Grunge will be back. Kids these days are suckers.

You're so right, that's why there are B Boy competitions all round the world all the time. And that is why it's considered one of the four pillars of hip hop. I guess hip hop was a fad too. You're so tuned in to the pulse of the street dude...

4 pillars of hip hop...

What are the other 3? Kangol hats, gold chains, and Adidas track suits? Oh, and let me take a guess...the biggest stars in hip hop at the moment are Grandmaster Flash and Afrika Bambaataa.

Dont know why you mention those artists who are gone. B Boying never went away, it's been a part of hip hop sinse the beginning, and is still going strong. If you've tuned out, that's your biz. It's now a lot bigger than it was in 82, for one thing it's done almost all over the developed world...
