You'll probably have to go to Yongsan or some other electronics market. Just tell them you want a TV that does both ntsc and pal. You'll probably have to look a lot and pay a premium.

I think that most TVs manufactured outside US should have NTCS and PAL capabilities by now. Wouldn't it be too costly to make the same TV's in three variations? For example: one supporting NTCS, one PAL and one NTCS and PAL. At least the TVs sold in Finland (Korean or Japanese made) have NTCS and PAL in them.

I brought a small, cheap TV to Korea from Canada a few years ago on a visiti home. It works here no problems. I'm not sure if the reverse would hold true, but I think it should.

There's a variety of PAL/NTSC tvs in the Space 9 building at Yongsan, 4th or 5th floor. HD, True HD LCD and PSD included in the range. You just have to tell the guys what you're after. Check also that the tv will accept 100 - 245/250 v if you plan to take it back to Australia, for example.

ok. sorry for not getting back sooner. I went into LG and emart and got little or no response from them. I brought in the PAL playstation I want to use on it and they said no when they looked at it. I think they might have just been trying to get rid of me though... Rolling Eyes The place in yongsan sounds interesting though but I am toying with the idea of just buying a NTSC Playstation from play-asia website. any ideas if this is a good idea??

When I use my PAL camcorder with my Korean NTSC TV it comes out in B&W. But when I play a PAL DVD in my DVD player and connect it to the same TV it's in glorious color. I really don't know how it all works.

that's cause your DVD player plays both and will convert on the fly - mine does that too
