My building has become completely disgusting because the garbage has not been leaving the building. For the last 10 days garbage has been piling up outside in my hallway and on the 1st floor of my building. It's gotten so bad that people have put garbage out in the hallways next to the mail slots and I can't even get to my mailbox. All the public garbage cans are overflowing, and it's getting worse every day, especially the smell on my floor. Anyone know what's up with this?

There is a garbage room on each floor where you can put your garbage bags in a chute, rather than walking down. The door to this room on each floor has been locked for 10 days, so people just started leaving their garbage outside of the room.

The other problem is downstairs where all the garbage and recycle bins are located. This area has been completely filled with garbage and it has overflowed into the hallway which leads into the garbage area. I can't understand the idiots that decided to leave their garbage in the hallway next to the mailboxes. The garbage is at least 3-4ft high in all places, and I can't even get close to my mailbox because its deep under garbage bags.

Do you live in poong-lim eye won?? The cleaning/maintainence staff are on strike. Security is working (limited staffing) and wearing red armbands. The rest of the staff are gone.

Yes, I live there. I figured people are on strike, and the security has been at a minimum. Do you live there or know of when they'll be back to work? I feel like my maintainence fee should be lower for having to put up with this. To make it worse, my room is right next to the locked garbage room so I get a nice aroma every time I leave or come home

My wife is friends with some of the cleaning ladies there. They may come back to work when they finally get paid. They are about 3 months behind in their wages.

The building has a serious cash-flow problem. I was chatting with the guy who delivers the 90day- overdue notices and more than 1/2 of the building is 90 days in arrears.

I don't see the problem getting fixed anytime soon.
