| I went to India for four months earlier this year. After doing a lot of research I basically just turned up armed with the latest eddition of the Lonely Planet. I found that it is very easy to get around India yourself, via bus and train etc and there are even some very cheap flights to some cities. It was also easy to book excursions through local travel companies once there and it was a lot cheaper than any of the offers I had seen on the internet, which were primarily aimed at people who had never traveled before and are too afraid to go it alone. Anyway India was an amazing experience and four months wasnt enough, hope you have as much fun there as I did. |
