|
|
Hi all. Just wondering if people knew somewhere in Korea where you can buy Christmas trees (preferably in the Daegu area), or an online store that sells trees and ships them here. I know real trees will probably be difficult to come by, so on this rare occasion, I'd settle for a fake one.
I know I'm a little early, but I'm thinking ahead - I'm assuming shipping will take a little longer. I love Christmas, and I want to bring a Christmassy feel into my school, so trees and wreaths are essential!
Thanks. |

No worries.
You will be able to find fake trees all over the place, but especially in the old traditional markets very soon. Think 'artificial flower shops'. |

Yes, florist shops, particularly of the sort found in underground shopping centers, are an excellent source for Christmas decor, along with stationery shops, if that's your thing. |

Any of the big department stores will begin stocking them a little closer to the day. You will have no trouble finding one. Along with purples plastic balls to decorate it with |

Last year Carre- ummm...Homever had tons. May not be cheap but it will certainly be cheaper than shipping one from home....
Also, in Namdaemun a few years back they had an entire stretch of the market that was all shops selling Christmas decorations....not sure if they are still doing it, but may be worth a look.
....Having a few beer and then Christmas shopping in Namdaemun with my friends at 3 am is one of my favourite memories from my first year.... |

Namdemun did have the Christmas stretch last year, too. There was a great candle shop that I hope will be back (in some form). |

HomePlus has improved their selection in the last couple of years. I got a 4 foot tree last year for a very reasonable price. If they have 'em, I'd bet E-Mart and LotteMart will as well. |
