I have been asked many times if I am interested in teaching Chinese.
I just wonder how many English speakers here want to study Chinese, maybe I can organize a Chinese class. we can have class couple times a week.

你住在韩国的哪个城市?
我近来住在大邱市.

It's "Da4 Qiu1." I think it literally means "big mound" or "big hill (大邱 is probably better known to some of you as "Daegu"). " I've been trying to learn as many names of Korean cities in Chinese as I can. For instance:
Seoul: 汉城 (han4 cheng2) or 首尔 (shou3 er3...a transliteration of the name)
Busan: 釜山 (fu3 shan1, literally "kettle Hill")
Daejeon: 大田 (Da4 Tian1, literally "big field")
Gwangju: 光州 (Guang1 Zhou1, literally "bright state"...not to sure if that's the correct way to translate it, though)
Incheon: 仁川 (Ren2 Chuan1, literally "benevolent river")
You can go to wikipedia and find the Hanja/Hanzi for the all the cities (and Japanese ones too).

我在无锡（上海附近）住了。 明年 我想在北京学习中文 可是可能我能教英文当时学习。 韩国比中国很方便但是我觉得中国多意思。 我喜欢韩国但是我觉得学习中文比韩国语有用。 |

I meant "学院" vs. "补习班" . 学院 is "Hakwon," but I don't know if the Chinese actually use that word anymore. I think my old school in China used it on their sign.

Sorry, I understood. WHat I meant by 我不知道区别 was I don't know what the difference is? Sorry, my understanding is way better than my writing 
I was saying I have never heard 学院 but I have read it a couple of times, so it might be one of those written words no one ever says. Sort of like "albeit" in English... |

| I think the way you'd say it would be: "没有什么区别 (there isn't any difference)." My best guess for "I don't know if there is a difference" would be: 对补习班和学院的区别来说, 我不太清楚 ("As far as the difference between "buxiban" and "xueyuan" are concerned, I'm not too clear"). Perhaps when or if the OP responds, she can make things clearer for us. Xueyuan could definetly be one of those only-used-in-written-language formal words (I've actually seen it written on quite a few Hagwons out here). Chinese seems to have a lot of those. "之", in place of "的" always comes to mind. |

By the way, you (and anyone else interested in Chinese) should check out this site:

They take articles from Xinhua and add a mouseover translator (totally free and updated constantly). IMHO it's one of the best Chinese language learning sites on the internet. I wish they had one for Korean. |

I am living near Seoul. anyway,, your Chinese is good...
I am planning to organize a Chinese class for English speakers, we can meet once or twice a week to practice and study. |
