I think that he's a dishonest, propanagandizing journalist. Perfect for Faux news. That's infotainment. |

He isn't a journalist.
He's a commentator--and a damn fine one! |

O'Reilly rocks! He has no problems telling the truth without being PC. |

O'Reilly's ok, but he's not conservative enough for my tastes. |

Did anybody see the dressing down Letterman gave him? It was like water off a duck's back. I had to admit some grudging respect for O'Reilly after that. Anyone who's high status worldview is so internally iron clad that they can take a drubbing and not blink has got to be on to something. Too bad that something's not truth or decency...

O'Reilly IS the new PC. PC is the ability to define and frame the terms of the debate in the way most favourable to your politics. And O'Reilly's a master. I need to be careful, because I haven't watched him in years. Life's too short.
You had to guess that language would be more comfortable in the service of wealth and power. |

One of my favorite stories of O'Reilly jackassery.
http://www.ocala.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2006207110332
Quote: |
Mark Lunsford, Jessica's father, when asked about O'Reilly, replied, "I'm not impressed."
O'Reilly has pushed other states to toughen laws against sex offenders, selling "Jessica's Law" decals and bumper stickers on his Web site to raise money for the cause.
"I've only been on his show one time," Lunsford said, adding that the Jessica Marie Lunsford Foundation he heads, "never got a dime from O'Reilly. It bothers me when he sells bumper stickers with Jessica's name on them, and the foundation gets nothing. I don't want to badmouth O'Reilly, but we could do more working together." |

I think it's safe to say what everyone knows: If Bill were hired by a liberal network, he'd change his stripes in a second. |
