I'm living out in the sticks and life Monday to Friday is fine, but on a weekend things are on the boring side, so Im looking for mates to go clubbing with in Seoul. Ive been to Daegu a few times and it seems to only be R&B/ hip hop.

Anyone got any plans to go to some good dance clubs in Seoul over christmas / new year?

there is only R&B and hip hop in Korea. My girlfriend had a hard time believing that there were clubs with other kinds of music in the states. She thought all clubs were hip hop clubs, everywhere, forever.

Hey Northern Monkey.

Not into Trance myself, But do like house clubs!

There are a few clubs in Seoul that play house/prog and trance tunes. Your best bet is Hongdae. with club M2 being one of the best. (but nothing like Sankeys/kindergarten/tangled - Northern Monkey!?!?)

The last Friday every month (in Hongdae) has 'club night' where you pay maybe 12,000 won to get in all the clubs.

They get UK/international Dj's on a fairly regular basis.

Happy clubbing!

Ah, hey! We have a nice little club with great house DJ's now. The place is called Sundoboo. It's located on the street with all the other clubs. Specifically, it's between "Bubble Bar" and "Monkey Bar".
It's a basement club, with a lounge room separated fromt he dance area.

On Friday Dec. 15, it's club night, so entrance fee will admit you to most of the clubs in the area.
Sundoboo will be importing a house/breaks DJ from Canada by the name of MYAGI.
The other Sundoboo resident DJ's play at various hongdae clubs periodically.
Come out, it's usually packed on club night anyway, but we're expecting even better on that evening.
