Hey there. This is my third contract in Korea... but first time in the Jamsil area. I actually live in Songpa.

Are there any expat hangouts around here?

Hey there -

I live in Songpa-gu as well, and as far as I'm aware, the expat community isn't that large here. However, compared to when I arrived in December, the number of foreigners I see walking around in my neighbourhood has increased slightly.

There aren't any specific expat areas where we are that I know of. Most of the bars around here are Korean bars, and they are all very welcoming. We're pretty close to Gangnam, so many people head there for a night out, and there are few places in Jamsil as well, but I stick around Sincheon (next stop) when I'm going out with my Korean friends. It's a nice area, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.
