I've never heard anyone discuss this branch. Does it actually exist and what is it like? I'd like to work there in a few months if possible? |

I'm advising you to err on the side of caution when dealing with any CDI branch.

On your website it said, "All instructors are required to receive up to one week of initial training at one of our corporate training centers in Korea prior to their first day of class." How much would I get paid for this orientation before obtaining my E2 Visa?

The training is not paid; it guarantees your position here at CDI. Your visa would be in the steps of being processed during training.
"Your visa would be in the steps of being processed during training."
It's illegal to work as well as participate in work related activities (orientation / trainings) for your employer until Korean Immigration Officials have issued you an E2 Visa.
Roll the dice with CDI! If your caught working without an E2 Visa, then you will get deported. Furthermore, why would you want to work for no pay? |

It's true if you don't want to have a life, don't mind being exploited, and enjoy working under illegal conditions.
Regarding the main branch:
-CDI does not give national holidays (Illegal)
-You are allowed 5 day vacation in one year, when the law states 10 days are required.
-If you are hired as an hourly-paid worker (and you will be), you sign away health care, pension, and severance. While this conflicts with the laws of Korea that state all who possess E2-visas are entitled to such benefits, CDI has decided to ignore these laws.
-They have lied to immigration and employees to obtain false visas.
-They do not provide housing to "hourly-paid" employees. |
