Hey!
I'm a new member but regular reader. I lived and worked in both Busan and Daegu. I returned home to Canada last year to a non teaching position but miss South Korea. So, I chose to return for a short holiday at the end of September to see my old chingu.
And Pa Jan is my favourite Korean food. |

It looks like this:

Have you heard of kimchi? |

I almost said the same thing after reading the first few responses.
One of the best things about teaching adults was that sometimes an Ajuma would make Pan Jan for me (last class).
Fortunately, I know a Korean restaurant that makes it locally. It goes for about $8.00 CAD.

This would be the 해물파전, or seafood pajeon. There are a few varieties, with the straight vegetable one being my personal favorite. 빈대떡 is killer as well. Similar to pajeon, but sans tentacles. |
