Okay, so, there are a few things that I want and can't find. If anyone can help me out, I'd be greatly obliged.

First item: dill pickles. I'd even settle for those weird neon green Vlassics. But I haven't had a dill pickle in six weeks, they're one of my favorite foods, and I just WANT SOME!

Second item: I can't believe I'm asking this, but does anyone know of a dance club that has a pole for customers? I took a dance class right before I left and it was the most fun I've had in a long time and I'd love to pick it up again. I'd get a portable and install it in my room, but I think it's too small. (Plus the shipping would be REALLY expensive.) Very Happy

Third item: relates to the last item. I'm looking for a store that sells some serious shoes. For dancing/partying/whatever. What I have in mind are six inch platform stillettos. At home, they'd be in an adult store, some goth stores, and any place that sells 12-foot-long neon pink feather boas. If anyone around here knows where I should go looking, please tell me.

Lastly, Ive heard a lot about the various trials and tribulations of antidepressants around here. Once I get my health card (hopefully soon), I'm going to the doctor in Itaewon. (The anglophone at the International Clinic that everyone talks about.) I hear his pharmacy is well-stocked, but charges a lot for drugs. Anyone know of a pharmacy that doesn't have a huge overhead for Paxil CR? I live in Munjeong-dong (southeast Seoul), but the commute is worth it to me. Smile

Oh, I lied. Girls, are there any Victoria's Secrets around here? I might want to get some new bras at some point. Also, where can I buy Tampax? I don't need 'em yet, but I will at some point. Reallytrulylastly, are there any department stores that sell Benefit cosmetics, or do I need to make a pilgrimage to China for that?

There's a lot more to me than a love for pickles, illicit dancing, and shoes that could be used as deadly weapons, really. Wink But right now, what I want is what I want. Umm. Anyone else doing NaNoWriMo?

Thanks!
Sweets

No VS. You will have to order online. I never find anything here that I like. Most of the bras have lace and bows and crap all over them. (Looks great under a sweater when you have bumps all over your boobs). The underwear is high waisted and ugly.

Tampax (actually playtex) should be available at any of hte big supermakets (E-Mart, Homeplus, etc). Plastic Applicator only though.

Dill Pickles can be found, but you have to keep your eyes open. I don't know where to tell you to go in Seoul. I'm sure Hannam market would have them though. You can get pickling spices if you are interested in making your own.

You can get a 1.89L jar of dill pickles at Costco for 5000W (yes, that's about $5.00 US).

Can't help you with those other things. Find a Korean friend who knows the names of those items in Korean, and look them up at some of the online stores.

You can find Benefit cosmetics at the big department stores. I've seen it at Shinshigae before.

Since you're heading to the clinic in Itaewon, take a walk up the hill and if you ask nicely, maybe one for the nice ladies will let you borrow a pair of their shoes. As for the pole, carry your own...try a broom.
