|
|
I went to a visit a friend in Songtan tonight and noticed a nice surprise -- to celebrate their 1-year anniversary, a Thai restaurant down the street from the airbase is having a 10,000 won buffet this Saturday and Sunday. It's owned by the same people who run Sawatdee which is pretty decent. To get there, go to the main gate of the airbase; facing the airbase, go up the street on your right (NOT the main street with all the bars), go up about 50 meters and it'll be on your right. If you see Alsaba, you went too far. |

I would love to be there too but would also like to know if you noticed a time for this buffet lunch, afternoon, evening) - thus I would not have to hang out waiting for the doors to open or be disappointed that I missed it.
Thanks. |

Their buffet is excellent anytime, even at full regular price, and it comes with a free soda. It's the best Thai place I've eaten at in Songtan!! |

I didn't see any times listed so I assume it's all day, both days. |

I'm just a country boy, so where the hell is Songtan? I'm drooling for some Thai food right now. Give me directions; I'll be on the next train. Thanks. |

Songtan is on line 1 (the "dark blue" line) of the Seoul subway. It's roughly a 40-minute drive from Suwon or maybe 20 minutes by subway.
Also it's commonly confused with Osan due to the airbase being named "Osan Air Base". Actually Songtan is a district of Pyeongtaek. |
