Is there a law in Korea against cutting a tree? I'm going to go up the mountain and cut me up a small Christmas tree.
Anyone know? |

Korea has many laws - most of which are ignored / not enforced. EXCEPT of course, if you're a non-Korean, then look out if they catch you. Damn foreigners at it again |
I take it it's legal as long as you don't get caught doing it. |

It's only been what, 2 years since Tree Planting Day was taken off the calendar as a national holiday. I'd say they would not be thrilled to have anyone cutting down trees. |

I think this year was the first year without an 'arbor day'
Anyway the REASON they took it off the calendar was obviously because there were too many trees in Korea. Korea needs a tree-cull. Santas, get to it, cut those b'stards down for the good of Korea.
You best be quick or the Japs will invade again and steal them all. Chop Chop. (and burn burn) |

Yes, it is. If you get caught, I hope you get deported. What you don't realize is that before Pak Chung Hee made it illegal to cut down trees in the 1970's most of those hills were bare- just like they are in NK. His reforrestation program is one of the best in the world. |

This would be called theft.
It is against the law in most countries and in some warrants limb amputation. |

Don't listen to any of these punks.
Just cut the damn thing down and take it home.
If anyone stops you and asks what you're doing, tell them that the tree looked lonely so you're taking it for a walk. |

Sounds like a winner!
Or I'll hide behind my tree. |
