Just wondering if in general you gain weight, lose weight or stay the same weight in Korea... |

I was about 220 lbs when I got here in 2003. Now I'm about 185.
I spent too much time eating fast food in my car back in Canada. Thankfully I don't have that priviledge here. |

I have gained weight in the 3 months that I have been here. I walk everywhere but I drink a lot more than ever. |

Lost (with activity) and gained (with the same activity as at home).
Overall -- gained.
Food is much less healthy here than what I eat at home. Fruit and veggie prices are a big deterrent for me, and veggies were horrible this year (I finally found a head of broccoli in a store that wasn't already moldy for the first time last week). It's often cheaper to buy a meal than make it yourself (where you can control the inch of oil on the top of that soup or the three inches of fat on that piece of pork). |

Gained but not upon first arriving (stayed about the same for the first year) and have put on weight now from boozing and a desk job. Cutting back the boozing and exercising now, but I waited a bit too long and it'll be a while.
It is hard to eat healthy here unless you specifically aim to do it. |

I don't have any digital photos of me at my fattest. But one of my closest friends who's sees me just about everyday asked me who that large-looking girl in the family picture was. |

Gained from trying not to hurt peoples feelings and eating everything I was given.
Lost some of it by cutting back on the portions..working on the rest, but I am definately not getting the exercise I need...have to work on that....or the fresh veg. Eating school lunches, not alot of goodness in the veg after its been cooked, cooked and then cooked some more. |

Arrived at 101 kg. After 7 months down to 80. The next 5 years I yo-yoed between between 84 and 107 ( depending on habbits of the time). The past 12 months I've gone gone from 87 to 108 (an all time lazy record). |
