I am a movie freak. I plan to bring about 200 DVD's with me to Korea. I was going to buy a DVD player in Korea, but I heard that North American DVDs will not work in a Korean DVD player. Someone else said that a PlayStation 2 will play both North American and Korean DVD's, what about an Xbox. I would really rather buy something in Korea to save room for all the deoderant and spices I was told to bring. Any suggestions?

You can buy a cheap region free dvd player in Korea. It will play any dvds that you have. Nothing to worry about here.

Region free means that the player will play DVDs from all regions of the world. Not all players are region free, but finding a region free player is usually easy in Korea. Sometimes these players are also called "code free". It means the same thing. There's a link to one below. cost: 49,800 won
