Yes, it was an interesting read, but I felt it was too Japan-centered. Way too Japan-centered.

I think one aspect of this situation that hasn't received enough attention is the China angle. Over the last several years the Chinese have been making noises that NK somehow is their historical territory. It seems to me that the nuke test was aimed just as much at China specifically as it was Japan and the US...maybe more so. While all the Nork rhetoric is aimed at the US, it could also apply to China. Hands off!

I just finished reading a book titled "facts about Korea" and it raised a few points that disagreed with the main issues of the article. But I guess each to his own

It made sense when he said the nuclear weapons were being used as a diplomatic tool. It drifted into the bizarre when it claimed that KJI would use nukes against Japan and surrender to South Korea immediately afterwards.
