|
|
3 native born Australians were apparently arrested in Yemen recently on terrorist charges. Perhaps emigrants from the west are a bigger threat to global security than immigrants to the west are. (just kidding there)
| Quote: |
The three detainees are among a group of eight foreigners with suspected Al-Qaeda links who face charges in Yemen for an alleged plot to smuggle arms to Somalia.
According to press reports, two of the men are brothers and reportedly sons of Abdul Rahim Ayub, who established a Jemaah Islamiyya cell in Australia but fled after the Bali bombing in Indonesia. The two Australian-born brothers of Anglo-Saxon background are believed to be named Mohammed and Abdullah Ayub, age 18 and 21, respectively. |
So how are two dudes with an Indonesian father of "Anglo-saxon" background? Their mother, who sounds like a real winner:
| Quote: |
| The brothers were in Yemen on a study tour organized by their mother, Australian-born Muslim and former wife of Ayub, Rabiah Hutchison, who fled Australia on Oct. 16, 2002, four days after the first Bali bombing. Their sister Rahmah reportedly is married to Khalid Cheikho, one of nine men charged in Sydney with conspiring to produce explosives in preparation for a terrorist attack. |
And the 3rd? A polish dude that became an Aussie citizen back in the 80s:
| Quote: |
| Although born in Poland, the third detainee, 35-year-old Malik Samulski, also known as Abdul Malik, had been an Australian citizen since the 1980s. He was a student and Sydney resident from the southwest suburb of Preston who converted to Islam. His family said he left Australia two years ago with his wife and child to study language in Yemen. Although Samulskis family says hes never been in trouble with the Australian Security Intelligence Organization (ASIO), he was known to have associated with the Ayub brothers before he left Sydney. |
Oh, and can't forget a dane that was arrested last month:
| Quote: |
| On Thursday, a Danish Foreign Ministry official confirmed the Oct. 14 arrest of a Dane, but refused to identify him. Danish media reported that the suspect is a 23-year-old man who converted to Islam and moved to Yemen two months ago with his wife and child. |
I thought the Islamic nutballs were supposed to be entering the west, not leaving it.
Last question: so how exactly is ceasing immigration from muslim-majority countries going to put a dent into global jihad?

A few weeks ago, I put up an article about liberal blond haired blued eyed European female newspaper reporter that made believed she was Muslim and went on an air plane ride for the purpose of eliciting stares, guffaws and official attention and then wrote about the stares, guffaws as and extra attention as if it were news.
The response I got from the usual suspects was that she was simply being discriminated because she was different as is per the usual reaction from The West and its peoples. One of the arguments I stated was that recent converts were often nut bags and had a bad track record for terrorist related activities and therefore, this female was due some extra official attention. The argument I recieved in response was that no, the West and its peoples were just bigoted and that she didn't warrant any attention.
Your assertion here is that recent converts are in fact nutbags and have a bad track record in regard to terrorist activities which seems to prove my earlier point but since your new argument is constructed against The West and uses the same evidence, it is granted merit and allowed to go unchallenged.

Mine is against the west? Not really.
But yes, your earlier point perhaps had merit. Not sure if I read it or not. |
