I am currently looking for a job and am in Korea but am really only looking to work here for 6 months. My problem is that nearly everything seems to be for 1 year. If I only look at 6 month jobs my range of jobs is seriously narrowed down. How easy is it to break a contract if you give a months notice and have a good reason? Do you leave yourself open to being screwed over? Any help much appreciated. Cheers. |

Six month contracts are possible, but I think it would be dishonest not to have it prearranged with the school. Already being in Korea could work to your advantage in this, as the school could pay for your visa run, but they wouldn't have to give you return airfare or a bonus. If you sell it to them right (look how much you will save!) you might just be able to arrange it with some of the schools looking for full year contracts, especially to the ones looking for immediate starts. |
