As an American, what can you actually pray for?

Every night, I try to say the Lord's Prayer. I'm not a big Hail Mary fan.

But what can I pray for? A bigger tv?

Mainly, I just pray for health. I figure that's the prayer that will piss off the Lord the less.

Either we screw ourselves up and go back to hard core religion (massive disease, world war with nukes, asteroid, basically any major world wide disaster) or we continue to pull ourselves up and religion fades into history with other silly habits like smoking (which will still happen eventually unless we kept causing disaster after disaster). Wink

Do you link your perceived lack of problems with being American? Sick, dude, sick. People everywhere need prayer. If you truly have all that you need and are all that you want to be, try praying for other people...or world peace. Pray for world leaders. Pray for an end to poverty. Pray for your family. Pray for the next person you see.

Or maybe just pray that everyone can be as "fortunate" as you.
