I'd like to experiemtn with using some music videos in class, but I'm not sure where to begin. Has anybody done much of this? I need tips with everything from sources of videos to lesson ideas based on a video.

Your title reads ROCK videos???? Thinking a bit of AC/DC here Laughing I'm sure kids will love that.

For some good free ideas on using video in class, I have a list of links on my site below - scroll down to 'm' for 'movies' or 's' for 'song'. There are lots of classic teaching ideas for using videos in class providing you have the right equipment.

Ultimately, it would be really fun if you could get them to write their own rock song and perform it in front of a video camera.

A Jennifer Lopez video is a rock video.

Are the sites that make rock videos available for playback on a computer?

I'm not looking for movie worksheets.

www.google.com

Google has a videos section. I found the video for We Are the Champions on there.

Also www.youtube.com sometimes has music videos on it.

When I do songs in class I always try to find the video to go with so the students can get an idea of what the group or singer is like if they aren't familiar with the song.
