Me and my fiancee have our information in at least 5 different recruiters. We want to start in January and we are getting kinda anxious to sign a contract. We have got a few offers but they have been from places that people on this board have said to stay away from. My question is, will more job offers flow in as the month of Novemver goes on or should we take the bad job offers we have received as of now?

If you have any doubt about what people have posted, go for it, good luck, and enjoy your ride. And the only good point is that when you have problems with your boss, you'll have our advice from previous thread that you can fall back to. Cool

If you decide to wait it out for more and better offers, you won't regret it.

Koreans as a whole don't plan ahead. If you want to start in January, you will really start getting offers in December. I'm a serious planner-aheader, but I've been in Korea long enough now to get used to the last-minuteness. You'll get some good offers, just be patient.

If you are looking for a January start you will probably get offers in early to mid December. Ignore the crap you get in the meantime. Don't accept a bad offer because YOU are thinking too far ahead. Good things come to those who wait.

Wait until you get the offer you want.

Bear in mind that people who work at good hakwans don't post complaints about them on the net. It's true that some complaints might not be valid and from people who made their own problems, but hey is it worth the risk? It is not, a year in a place you don;t like will not be cmfortable and then you have the hassle of changing jobs and vetting recruiters and establishments all over again.

The best thing you can do in my opinion is ask for the phone number or email of someone who currently works at the school and get their honest opinion.

good luck.
