Keep in mind that many people have said that if you don't give them the passport and you have proof of income then you don't need to have the passport stamped which is a good idea. Leave the passport at home or pretend you left it at home.
Here's what I got from KEB:
Thank you for considering KEB for your banking needs.
Please be advised that our bank is offering a money order service to customers. However, our bank does not provide the service online. In order to purchase money orders from our bank, you need to visit a nearby KEB branch office with your passport.
Foreign customers in Korea can remit funds or purchase checks after getting confirmation from their bank in accordance with the puprpose of remittance or purchasing checks.
Foreign customers can remit funds or purchase checks up to US$10,000 without documentation during their stay (from entrance to departure) in Korea.
If foreign customers have exchanged in Korea their foreign currency, checks, or money remitted from overseas, they can remit funds or purchase checks within the corresponding amount.
In case that the sources of funds are salary or incomes earned in Korea, foreign customers can remit funds or purchase checks within the salary or income amount. In order to remit the salary or purchase checks, customers are required to bring their passbook, passport, salary statements and a contract of employment.
For your reference, the issuance fees of money orders are as follows:
