I don't give a *beep* about Radiohead and all that indie nonsense. I was brought up on the top 10. Slade, T.Rex, David Bowie. If you're not in the charts, you don't exist. BMX Bandits? Four people are listening to it in Hull. I went in there to get Phil Collins' severed head in my fridge by the end of the decade."

And what would you rather read? 'The guy from Keane's been to a rabbit sanctuary 'cos one of the rabbits needed a kidney implant, so he swapped his with it' - or 'Liam Gallagher sets fire to a policeman in cocaine madness, while his brother Noel runs down Oxford Street nude'?"

Noel said:

"Cocaine itself isn't that bad. It just makes you drink more and that's the worst drug there is."

Correct.

I'm totally not a fan either, but some of their recent stuff sounds as though it's their best ever stuff....

I don't mind Noel though. He seems alright.

But - both Oasis and Radiohead can kiss my arse. Neither make even the top 50 bands of all time.

I love a lot of old Oasis tracks and their first album rocked IMO, but they never caught on in the U.S. because the only song we really got there was "Wonderwall", which made them seem kinda gey compared to other bands. I used to think they were pretty lame too till I actually listened to a whole album, then I changed my mind. Definitely Maybe is great.

I'll also confess a liking for the Gallaghers, despite how hated they seem to be anywhere outside Northern England. They're obnoxious yes, but damn funny (esp. Liam) to watch in interviews. I appreciate their blunt honesty.

I bought their album...the "wonderwall" album.
It really felt like their music lacked character. I mean, it's it seemed like they were trying to be anthemic; they just failed.

If you're a band and you're bland, it's better than failing to do something.
