Anyone who has gone to Phuket and done this tefl course? I'm just wondering how useful it was to you....here in Korea.
I am sure the course is useful in the real world of ESL, but here in the ROK, things seem to run a bit differently.
Was it helpful for obtaining a better job? (escape from haggie hell) or did it make no difference?

It will make no difference in getting a job. And if you not a newb (or not interested in teaching kids or absolute beginners) then the course itself is not for you, except for the paper you receive. I don't teach kids, nor do I teach beginners, so the course was a wash for me. Although, I must say, doing my homework on the beach was kinda cool. |
