"The troops will get support now just like they did before"

What happened to: they disrespect you, troops! they don't support you!

"They want to win just as much as I do"

What happened to: Dems are cut 'n run!

It was clear in his press conference that he was trying to be conciliatory and not combative. That's a nice change. Maybe it bodes well for the future (the next two years).

It's still two-faced buggery.

Its all still true. We're watching the Dems now, right? I honestly hope Hilly gets elected Prez. Then the Repubs can spend 4 years verbally beating the crap out of that silly woman.

And people wonder how the US could have elected such a group of scumbags in the first place...

The same way they elected Slick Willie, that idiot Carter and Nixon. Hilly is as crooked as they come. Let's just watch, shall we?

The differences being:

1. Carter is a great man.

2. Clinton achieved some great things despite being raped by an out-of-cotnrol partisan congress.

3. Even Nixon had some notable achievements besides being a paranoid nut job. (I'm not a fan.)

Bush? He's just a stupid puppet of the neo-cons who has helped rape the Constitution, raped Iraq and rape the electoral process. If he is not impeached, it will be one of the great travesties of the past hundred years.

Hmm....

Carter is a great man??? Ask anybody who was farming during Carter's reign what they think of this "great man." He's a much better ex-president than a president. I think he's a good human, but a pathetic president.

Sorry, your definition of great is much different than mine. Clinton, basically, did nothing. I didn't think he should have been impeached, but he certainly wasn't anything to brag about.

Except for being crooked, Nixon wasn't so bad.

Bush has been president during the most difficult time for our nation since WWII (in my opinion) and he simply wasn't up to the task. I had high hopes after 9/11 but I can't think of any reason to defend him. Like Carter, I think he's a good person, but that doesn't translate into an effective leader.

I do sincerely hope that a Dem is elected president in '08. The country needs to be reminded why they don't like Dems in power for long periods of time.

Mod Edit: Removed flame.

Oh yeah, except for getting the budget balanced leaving the US with a surplus, enacting medicare reforms, capturing and trying the men responsible for the first WTC bombing, putting Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaida's names on the map (even if Bush Jr's administration totally ignored them as they entered office), launching strikes against likely WMD deposits in Iraq, and forcing Kim Jung Il to de-escalate his nuclear ambitions.

Hell, that's just what I can think of off the top of my head AND he did all of that with a hostile Republican controlled congress.

Hmmmm... methinks that not be nothing.

Was the crack about Nixon a conscious joke? If so, it was the first one you managed to pull off in your time here on Dave's. If it wasn't a joke, it tells much about Republican morality...Foley wasn't so bad--he just hit on teenage boys while pretending to protect kids; evangelical preachers aren't so bad, they just hire male prostitutes and do dope while preaching the opposite...etc.

What you said about the public needing to be reminded about what they don't like about the Dems is EXACTLY what I said when Reagan was elected in '80. I was proved right on Tuesday...We're just several TRILLION dollars more in debt than we were 26 years ago and with an enormously expensive unnecessary war on our hands. Thank you so much, Republicans.

Notice with the other two I noted presidential achievements??

The rest of your drivel is just that, partisan drivel.

You really should consider stopping your childish little rants and start playing like the grown-ups. I have absolutely no desire to attempt any sort of debate with someone who behaves like you. Now, go see your mama for some discipline.
