| So, how many more years do you think schools in Korea will pay someone's way over to Korea? I think eventually everyone will have to just fly over to look for work. I've always been hired from abroad, but I want this to be the last time I sit on my parents' sofa for months looking for work. I've always been afraid to come over with no job waiting for me, having to buy food and pay for a "decent" place to stay. (Even having a few thousand dollars). I can't live like a rat while I'm looking for work. I'd go insane! It also sucks to start a new job with less than $2000, which is most likely what would happen after I pay for airfare, hotel, etc. On the other hand, months have passed by with me earning no money. I guess from now on, I'll never look for work from abroad anymore. I'd also rather die than return to Mom and Dad's if I can't find a job in the 30 tourist visa days. |

So apply for a C3 visa (tourist) and get 90 days instead of your 30 day stamp. It takes the time pressure off finding a new job. |
