| I've just found you that I'm one of the eleven winners of the Barlcays Premiership Win A Contract Competition. This means I get a free shirt and tickets to watch a match etc, but also at a match there will be a draw in which I have a one-in-eleven chance of winning the contract. That would mean I would get an actual squad number in the team and 10,000 pounds, along with other goodies. So, what do you think - is it worth making the trip home for it? |

| If you can get the time off work and have around 700 quid to spare then, why not? |

| Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't 10 000 pounds a lot of money? |

More than most FTs could save in a year.
To the OP - why not try to play the nationalism card and tell your school you'll wear a Korea National Team shirt and promote Korea, and get it all on tape to show them. They'd probably give you the better part of a week off for that. |

| hell yeah.. do it! and you can justify it like this: the value of your place in the competition is 10,000 quid divided by 11, which is 909 quid- more than the flight ticket. plus you get bragging rights, and a load of other stuff too. go for it! |

ilovebdt, your avatar is amazing!
OP, would it be worth it to go home for a visit even if you didn't win? |

I couldn't even figure out what you were talking about. is it like gambling?
You want to leave your job to gamble, for less than 1 in 10 odds?
Nothing to add here. I guess it's a British thing. |
