|
|
I have a month to prepare one of my adult students for an interview to be conducted in English.
Where do I start!
I'd be grateful if anybody could give me any pointers / advice or even better, guide me in the direction of a resources page.
The job is an academic teaching position.
Cheers |

| Find out if the interview will be done by a foreigner or a Korean. Questions and answers will differ!!! Be sure they're prepared for the "What are your strenghts and what are your weaknesses?" question. The "Why do you want to work for our company?" is a standard. Your student had GOT to stand out from a whole bunch of other applicants. Come up with some unusual/interesting answers...especially if the interviewer is a foreigner! I tried to convice one of my students (applying for a job at a pharmacutical (sp??) company with a 3 mill a month starting pay) to say that he wanted the job because of the money, but he was too afraid to do it. I'm convinced that if he'd said it, he would have gotten the job! |
